In the middle of the 1990es the C-468 was released as replacement of the C-458. It is a mono-band radio for 70cm. In functional und optical construction it is identical to the 2m mono-bander C-168. On the market there are two types of this radio: C-460 and C-468. The C-460 was designed for US-markets without tone-call and a different frequency-setting. The C-468 was designed for european market and has 1750Hz tone-call on board for repeater operation.
Frequent problems on STANDARD C-468 are old capacitors. Those can be renewed if you havesome experience in repairing SMD-parts. We no longer provide service for C-460 and C-468 because price for repair often is higher than the used-price for complete radios.
