The radios STANDARD C-450 and C-458 are portable radios for hamradio, built in the 1990s. Their regular range is between 430Mc and 440Mc. Most of them are extendable to 470Mc and above. Similar types produced under different labels are Albrecht (AE-402), Hora (C-450), and a Rexon, type unknown. The new price for this radio was about 500USD. Actual used prices in Germany are between 30Euro and 100Euro depending on condition. Many radios are not only used in hamradio shaks. Even in emergency-organisations they are at home.
The STANDARD C-458 and C-450 are for 70cm-frequency-range. Their sisters for 2m-range are the C-158 and the C-150. And last but not least they have a big brother: The C-528 Duo-band radio in the same look.
